Dr. Cheryl DeYoung (with Schooner):

Dr. DeYoung is the co-owner and veterinarian of Bedford Highway Veterinary Hospital.  She is a 1994 graduate of the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island.  She was born and raised in the Waverley area.   Dr. DeYoung and her husband Dr. Jim Gillis have operated the hospital since January 2005.  She is pictured here with her rescued Black Lab 'Schooner'.  She has a special interest in companion animal surgery.













Dr. Jim Gillis (with Schooner):

Dr. Gillis is co-owner and veterinarian at Bedford Highway Veterinary Hospital.  He is a 1993 graduate of the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island.  He has lived in all three maritime provinces, but calls metro Halifax home.
