Providing good quality nutrition for your pet is one of the best and easiest ways you can help your pet live a long and healthy life. Feeding the right food will keep your pet healthy longer, reducing your pet's medical bills and giving you more time with your beloved pet. Good nutrition will also keep your puppy or kitten looking great, with a shiny coat and a healthy body weight.

Puppies and kittens have different nutritional needs from adult dogs and cats. They need higher levels of protein and fat to help them grow up big and strong. Studies also show that a certain fatty acid called DHA is important to mental and visual development.  Veterinary diets have included DHA into their foods for years, resulting in healthier, smarter puppies and kittens.

We strongly recommend feeding a veterinary quality diet to give your new pet a good start in life.  Start your puppy or kitten on the road to a long and healthy life now, by feeding a high quality food specially formulated for his or her developmental needs.

For most young puppies and kittens We recommend either:

Medi-Cal Development
 or
Hill's Prescription Diet p/d.

For large breed dogs (Labrador Retrievers, Newfoundlands, Mastiffs etc) we recommend
Medi-Cal Development for the first four months, followed by Medi-Cal Adolescent diet at four months
or
Hill's Prescription Diet p/d large breed.
